AC Shadows Reveals Unexpected AoT Event for Holiday Season
In a bizarre crossover event that breaks usual forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Uncovered
According to the official release, "A mysterious meeting draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of prohibited practices and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine sect.
The adventure focuses on "strange experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Transformations
The trailer highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a striking scene showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Extra Features
Players who finish the adventure will receive an special katana together with numerous items concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
